The Opus3 is a seperate module, developed by Altena-bike to transfer almost any ordinary bike into a a safe and stable trike.
The experience we have acquired in working with stainless steel has enabled us to develop this product at a reasonable cost.
The module exists of a stainless steel frame, that can easily be adapted to any bike with a normal backhub (i.e. a Nexus 8)
Extra stability is achieved by adding two Stainless rods that run from the side to a clamp just underneath the seatpost.
The backwheel is taken out and the Opus3 is fitted in place of the wheel. Two M 10 bolts take the place of the hubshaft and the front of the Opus3 is secured onto the rest of the bicycle's frame.
By fixing the two extra rods, fitted with left-right thread onto the clamps underneath the seatpost extra sidestability is achieved.
After fitting the drumbrakes and 5-speed cable onto the steeringwheel your new trike is ready for use!
